Many are called, but few are chosen. Evangelist Bri is among the chosen few.
Dawning her twelfth year of ministry, Bri aims to live so righteously apprehended by the Gospel of Jesus Christ that those around her cannot help but to have a radical and life changing encounter with God. Saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit at the age of ten, God began using Brittany in Word ministry as a teenager. She graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 2005 with the highest honors in the state of Kentucky and was recruited by top universities throughout America. However, Brittany resolved to remain in Kentucky because of the ministerial call on her life for the region, her commitment to serve the Pastoral ministry of her parents, and her burden to strengthen her generation through Gospel preaching and prophetic psalmistry.
In 2009, Brittany received an undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky in Social Work with a minor in Communication and multiple distinctions as a Gaines Fellow, Honors Student and scholar. In 2010, Evangelist Buchanan Douglas graduated from the University of Louisville with her Masters of Science in Social Work degree and, in the Fall of 2010, she entered the University of Kentucky College of Law as a Kentucky Supreme Court endorsed KLEO scholar. Dr. Brittany Buchanan Douglas, JD is a practicing attorney. She has completed a term of service with the Circuit Court of Kentucky in addition to passing the Kentucky Bar and teaching as an Adjunct Professor at a local college. Brittany earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law as a part of the esteemed class of 2013, at the age of 26.
As a teenager, Bri founded a Faith-based mentorship program for adolescent girls that has vastly expanded and is currently in operation as Planned Purity, LLC serving many girls, young women and adults annually. Brittany volunteers with numerous ministries and community organizations, has founded the Deacon James Buchanan Memorial Scholarship Fund and endeavors to live a life poured out.
The WAR [Worship Anointing & Revival] Movement is also founded and directed by Evangelist Bri. WAR has reached thousands of young adults through college campuses, churches, television and radio. Recently WAR was blessed to host a campus-based worship revival with Evangelist Todd White. They have also facilitated explosive worship encounters featuring Eddie James Ministries and Todd Dulaney. Most recently, WAR hosted Jesus Rally 2018: Church at Cheapside open air worship events at the historic former slave auction site while boldly declaring that in the same place slaves were once sold in a system laden with lies, degradation and dehumanization- captives will be set free through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Preceding that, WAR hosted "Jesus Rally 2017: A Call to Unity Through Prayer" at Lexington Legends Ballpark (minor league baseball stadium) in Lexington, KY. God has blessed WAR to thrive for over 10 years!
Brittany has worked in the foreign mission field of Costa Rica, twice, to combat human sex trafficking. Her additional foreign ministry experiences include a tour of Ghana, West Africa and work along the border of Nicaragua. Brittany brought in the year 2015 by sharing the messages of “Planned Purity” and “The WAR [Worship Anointing & Revival] Movement” while co-facilitating an evangelism and pastoral training intensive in Kenya, East Africa. Recently, Dr. Brittany Buchanan Douglas, JD completed a mission based in preaching and prophetic psalmistry in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. Brittany's passion begins and ends with the Cross. In 2019, that passion continues, steeped in worship, intercession and active evangelism through the doors God continues to open in her life and ministry.
Evangelist Bri's confession is simple, “I serve a huge God who makes small obstacles against big dreams into stepping stones. Every trial seals my triumph.” At The House of Prayer of Versailles, Inc. under the leadership of her parents, Bishop Rodney Douglas & Katherine Douglas, she serves in multiple executive and ministerial capacities. Recently, Bri concluded a season of missions in service of the African American Forerunner Alliance as Associate Director, the NightWatch of a 24/7 prayer and worship ministry as a prophetic singer and intercessor as well as strengthening other outreach ministries including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Currently, Brittany continues to advance social justice as an instructor of college students in courses emphasizing empathy, cultural competency and integrity within criminal justice and clinical social work practice. In January 2018, Brittany Is Chosen debuted her radio broadcast, podcast and video series called "The Chosen Chronicles" and is excited to share this ministry with her generation!
At the beginning of 2014, God spoke to Evangelist Bri's heart, "Go where I send you and set fires." Her answer is still yes!
To God be the glory, for the things that He has done!
